L2C Lounge
One of the, on the down low, perks of the ambassador program is access to the License to Chill Lounge on the Jimmy Buffett tour. Hundreds of ambassadors, their friends and families have had an extra special experience at Jimmy’s shows.
Escape to Margaritaville
Similarly, many Margaritaville College Ambassadors made the trek from campus to Broadway, NYC to enjoy complimentary tickets to Escape to Margaritaville: The Musical.
Acceptance Rate
11% believe it or not. A lot of people apply to be college ambassadors. Way more than we expected... In fact, 1,000 people applied in the first 48 hours of the program’s conception in 2016.

Margaritaville University has been represented on 300+ college campuses and internationally in Antartica, Aruba, Australia, Belize, Cambodia, Canada, China, Costa Rica, Cuba, Denmark, Dubai, Egypt, Fiji, France, Honduras, India, Ireland, Italy, Jamaica, Malaysia, Mexico, Peru, Poland, Puerto Rico, Spain, Sweden, Thailand, The UK, Vietnam, and on Semester at Sea.
Some of our favorite moments
- The Margaritaville University Fins Up Flag was flown on ESPN College Gameday eight times and counting.
- Margaritaville University hosted a Night at the Ballpark with the Cleveland Indians.
- Margaritaville has been represented at over 200 tailgate, greek life, and philanthropic events.
- Several ambassadors attended a Jimmy Buffett tour stop and were invited to the License to Chill Lounge.
- Three Roundtable events were held at the Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort in Florida to reward and immerse the top MargU ambassadors in the Margaritaville brand.
- Multiple ambassadors got a chance to attend Escape to Margaritaville: The Musical on Broadway.
- Several Campus Brand Managers were brought on to help grow and improve the program.
